PDM Time: 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Speaker: Jake Zulewski, Sales Manager
Topic: Tour and History of International Paper
Jake Zulewski has been with International Paper for seventeen years in various roles across the Midwest. He graduated with a paper engineering degree from Western Michigan University. He started his career with International Paper in 2000 as a Process Improvement Manager Assistant, focused on quality improvement and waste reduction. He then moved into a sales position handling a four-state region for their Automotive Segment. In 2009, he was promoted to Sales Manager and moved his family to Chicago. After five years in the Chicago Market, he was promoted to Complex Sales Manager and moved to Appleton, Wisconsin.
Jake is married with three wonderful children that are very active in soccer, hockey, basketball, and the arts. In his spare time, he enjoys refereeing soccer, curling, and travelling with his family.
About the Presentation: Jake will share the history of International Paper and a breakdown of their different business segments. The Industrial Packaging segment is their largest segment; Jake will breakdown where they are located and discuss which markets they serve. I will discuss IP’s growth strategy and some of the market trends in packaging. International Paper’s sales approach is to sell on value – not on price; they try to steer the conversation away from turning packaging into a commodity.
About the Tour: Please enter through Visitor’s entrance on Dewey Street; around the corner from 2000 S 18th Street. See map below:
