Phil has been employed with Eden Stone Company and Valders Stone and Marble Inc. since December 2009. He has served as the President for the APICS Fox Valley Chapter since July 2014. Additionally, he volunteers for The Boy Scouts of America Bay Lakes Council, Troop #41. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, and Certified Supply Chain Professional.
About the Presentation:
Phil will present on how the companies adjusted to meet the challenges brought by the 2008-2010 recession. The recession caused a reduction in construction, whether personal housing or public construction the impact on small quarry operations was challenging. Phil will be presenting on how the APICS Operations Management Body of Knowledge (OMBOK) was an important tool to moving the companies forward in the competitive environment. Attending this meeting will provide you with the knowledge on how to execute programs using the OMBOK.
Members will see the value of the education and certification in APICS whether they have the CPIM or the CSCP. Phil will show some of the tools he developed to reduce inventory while maintaining a high on-time delivery to customers.
About the Tour:
Eden Stone is an open pit quarry. Anyone wishing to attend the tour will need to meet at the Holiday Inn at 1:30; we will be busing to and from the quarry.
Required PPE for Tour:
Must have closed toe shoes
Please bring safety glasses if you have your own
Hearing protection is optional, but maybe desired if you have sensitive hearing
